Welcome to the 2014 RMGP Regional AAR, SBL, and ASOR Meeting

Thanks for a successful conference

The Department of Religious Studies at the University of Denver thanks presenters and attendees who joined us for the 2014 RMGP Regional Meeting of the American Academy of Religion, the Society of Biblical Literature, and the American Schools of Oriental Research.

This regional meeting was held in Sturm Hall, on the University of Denver’s campus, on Saturday and Sunday, March 29-30, 2014. A highly successful pre-conference featuring professional development workshops for faculty and graduate students as well as a welcome reception and happy hour took place the afternoon and evening of Friday, March 28.

SBL Student Paper Prize

The program committee of the Rocky Mountain-Great Plains Regional Meeting of AAR/SBL/ASOR is pleased to announce that DAVID PETTIT has been awarded the 2014 Student Paper Prize for “Analyzing Psalm 42 as an Independent Lyric.” Mr. Pettit is a first-year student in the University of Denver-Iliff School of Theology Joint Doctoral Program in the Study of Religion. No AAR prize was awarded.

2015 Regional Meeting

The 2015 regional meeting will be held at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

Thanks again to the workshop organizers and/or presenters, the keynote speakers, RLGS and AHSS staff members, and all others who helped make this conference a success.
